THE COMMUNITY

At The Community we want to do 3 things…

  1. Point students towards having encounters with a real and loving Jesus and then encourage them to walk with him and to grow their faith.
  2. Help teens create a community of people that love and care about them who will walk through life with them and encourage them in their dreams, talents and leadership abilities.
  3. Support, encourage and equip parents  in their crazy journey of raising teenagers.

We are a squad of people Grade 7-12 that meets at Spruce Grove Community Church… EVERY SINGLE WEEK!!

For EVERYONE grade 7-12. Literally….

Doesn’t matter who you are, you are welcome!

It is a safe, loving place where we can all have fun and and at the same time, learn to love God, love ourselves and love others even more!

We hang out every Friday night , usually 7-9:30 at Spruce Grove Community Church! Located at  180 Century Road in the majestic and magnificent city of Spruce Grove! Sometimes we switch it up, hop in vehicles and go on adventures, but to get more deets on when that happens, there are 4 things you need to do at the bottom of this page!

THE COMMUNITY Values

FAMILY

We believe we should live that out in our lives. Friends come and go, but we can’t change our family.

Family is messy. There are fights, drama, communication breakdown, etc…… BUT, there is laughter, joy, new experiences, fun, and more. Even when there is bad times, we work it out because that is what family should do.

Never Give Up On Family. We never give up on each other.

COMMUNITY

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

Proverbs 13:20

“Who you spend time with, is who you become.” Tony Robbins

The people we spend the our time with in life will impact and influence us the most.

They will either build us up, push us, cheer us on, and encourage us. Or. They will drift through life with us. Or. They will tear us down, demean us and discourage us.

At The Community, we want to get grow and get better everyday. And we recognize a lot of that comes down to who we spend our time with. …..we want to create atmospheres and a culture where God honouring, healthy, supportive relationships and community are created……In everything we do.

Honour

“Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:10‬ ‭NIV

“The tongue can bring death or life…”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:21‬a NLT‬

“Do to others as you would like them to do to you.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:31‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Every single person on the planet is a Son or Daughter of God, and should be treated with the utmost honour, love and respect.

We want everyone that walks through our doors, and everyone we come into contact with in our community, to experience the love of Jesus. In a practical sense, that comes down to how we treat others and how we speak to others.

We want everyone that is around us to feel safe, loved, respected and welcomed unconditionally.
